What is a Pull List?

A comics pull list is a list of comics that a comic collector would like to buy every time the title is released. A comics store will set up a pull list (sometimes called a “pull file” a “pull box” or a subscription list) for you, and pull that title every time it is released.

For example, if you never want to miss an issue of Amazing Spider-Man, you could add Amazing Spider-Man to your pull list, and get every issue of Amazing Spider-Man held for you to pick up at your convenience.

A pull list begins with the next available issue. If you subscribe to Amazing Spider-Man you will get the next issue in the series. A pull list does not include previous issues. Pull lists also include the annuals for the title unless you specifically ask not to get them. The reason for this is that usually Annuals carry on a storyline in the current book. A pull list will not include crossovers unless you specifically ask for them.

By subscribing to a series, you are making a commitment

• To buy the comics in your pull list.

• Pick up comics at least every month.
  

As your comic store, Downtown Comics is making a commitment

• To fill your subscription and provide each comic at cover price at Canadian exchange rate. Depending on the situation, we may require 3 weeks notice to be able to begin filling a subscription.

• To inform you of the Canadian exchange rate.

• To fill backorders at competitive rates where available.

• To bag and board comics at customer’s request. 

• To allow comic subscriptions to be canceled at any time with no penalty.

If you have not picked up an order in 1 month, you will be contacted via email and given 2 weeks to pick up your comics or confirm with us a date when you will pick them up. Exceptions can be made for customers outside of the St. John’s area, or certain circumstances when requested.

Customers that start a pull list and do not pick up their comics will have their subscription canceled and will be unable to start a new one. By signing up for a pull list you are agreeing to the above conditions.

We understand that emergencies arise and promise to practice patience and understanding. We hope to receive the same patience and understanding from our customers.
